June is MASS District Awareness Month (Music & Arts South of Sunrise) which brings awareness to the various events & activities occurring in the MASS District as we enter the Summer months. This awareness campaign finishes with the MASS District Artwalk on June 27th, a free flagship event that happens on the last Saturday of every month from 6pm-10pm with some venues staying open even later.

Light Up The Nights • Block Party
Across the street from this parking lot, the newest venue addition to MASS District, Light Up The Night (aka LUTN), will be hosting a Block Party event featuring live robot LED & DJ performances plus a host of Food Trucks, including:

● Taco Fresh (Taco, burritos)
● King of Racks (BBQ)
● Las Gorditas (Arepas)
● Che Grill (Empanadas)
● The Lobsta Guy (lobster rolls, bisque)
● Juice2B (cold pressed juice)
● Sugar Yummy Mama (desserts)
This event will showcase a toy drive to benefit the Miami Children’s Hospital, known as ‘Christmas in July’. Bring any unwrapped toys to donate at the drive during the event.
Mega Auto Body • Stance City Anniversary Car Show
Automotive Body Art Specialists Mega Auto Body is hosting a car show showcasing performance cars & vendors. Proceeds from the automotive vendors participating with them will go to a charity benefiting autistic children.
MAC Fine Art • Dali & Me
South of LUTN, MAC Fine Art is holding the Dali & Me Exhibit. This show only references the book of the same title as this exhibit pairs a specific Dali artwork with an artist’s interpretation of that specific Dali artwork piece.
The Great Project • Patriotism Revisited by Rolando Chang Barrero
The Great Project is hosting the “Patriotism Revisited” exhibit, a solo exhibition of paintings by Boynton Beach Artist Rolando Chang Barrero. This exhibit questions and explores the current state of Pride in the United States plus a special preview of Rolando’s most recent collaboration with Gary Kroman, “Liberty”, a 4D painting.
Jump The Shark • Concentric Circles, Young James
Venue Jump The Shark will host artist Young James & his exhibition known as “Concentric Circles”, showcasing his upcycled approach to Modern Art with several representations.
Art Attack • Cosmic Flow, Ms. Wenderful
Venue Art Attack is hosting “Cosmic flow” by Ms. Wenderful, which takes an alchemy approach to photography. Using water, air, earth, light, and fire as well as reflections, prisms, her unique vision and camera lens, she creates enigmatic images that to some appear to be photographed in outer space.
Gallery X • A Summer in Hell, Various Artists
Recent addition Gallery X will showcase 6 artists displaying their work including a Los Angeles based artist and the resident artist, also from California.
Dekkagon • Dekkamunity, Local Artists
Dekkagon’s local artist coop will showcase products and services of the 18 small businesses working out of this eclectic and fun space, ranging from mixed mediums, visual arts, performance, and wearables.
The Art Bloc • At One With Nature, Photography by Duwayne Flora
DuWayne Flora’s photography captures the music of nature. Each aspect of the scene becomes one instrument playing its part in the total composition.
Argyle Coffee • What’s In Your Cup, Various coffee vendors
“What’s in your cup” invites the Ft. Lauderdale & South Florida community to a festival celebrating coffee, collaboration, and small business. Held the same night as Artwalk, this event is aims to bridge neighborhoods, and ignite connections.
ABS Exotic Cars • MASS EXPANSION, Live Art by Stephanie Leyden, Music by Mark Knick
This unique event is designed to expand the Artwalk into the Downtown Fort Lauderdale neighborhood of Progresso Village, which is directly west of Flagler Village, and activate it during the monthly Artwalk. ABS Exotic will be showing its exotic cars with live music and live painting.
The Shade Post • Official MASS District After Party, Various Artists
Enjoy a trolley ride to the southernmost MASS District anchoring venue “The Shade Post” for the official MASS District After Party featuring Special Guest DJ’S Umber BandiVille & Michael Perez, live art collaboration with Rolando Chang Barrero & Renda Writer, art exhibition “Frames of Mind” by Zander Brant, live art by Xion
Foster “Heart & Soul”.
Parking & Shuttle
With the primary hub address of 807 NE 4th Ave, 33304 during this artwalk event, there will be free Parking provided at the Searstown Parking lot in the MASS District with optional trolley shuttle service.
