Food Trucks Accompany Fourth of July Festivities

Food Trucks will be out in full force this weekend as Fourth of July festivities take place at local parks, beaches and recreation centers around South Florida.  Head on out hungry and enjoy the creative food fare available at some of these outdoor events.  We cover several such events on our calendar and have summarized them for you below:

 

  1. Pine Island Park in Davie – Sports and activities starting as early as 7am!  TheDavie Fire Department will be having fun with a Foam spray, live music, bounce houses, rides, arts and crafts, food trucks and more. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. No personal fireworks. 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road, Davie. 954-797-1163. Free admission. www.davie-fl.gov
  2. BB&T Center in Sunrise  – Expect lots of Food Trucks to be on site as two bands celebrate from 5-9pm followed by Fireworks.  There’s fun for the whole family with children’s rides and inflatables.

    City of Margate – Night-time festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with food and family-fun activities at the corner of Margate Boulevard and 441 (northwest corner).  The concert featuring one of South Florida’s favorite party bands, Pangea, will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets

  4. City of Tamarac Sports Complex – Free shuttle service will be available to transport you from City Hall or the Community Center to the sports complex where you’ll find food trucks starting at 5:30 and live entertainment by Free Rads Band followed by Fireworks at 9.
  5. Mullins Park in Coral Springs – Annual Fourth of July Celebration includes Entertainment, Food, Music and a fireworks show!  Note: free admission but $3 Parking.  Personal fireworks, alcoholic beverages and pets are not allowed in the park. As an added safety measure, coolers, backpacks, and lawn chairs carried in a bag are also prohibited.
  6. Pines Recreation Center in Pembroke Pines – Food truck roundup, free rides for children, children’s area, bands, and fireworks at 9 p.m. 6-9 p.m. More info at www.ppines.com
  7. City of Miramar Regional Park – Water slides, bounce houses, food trucks, novelty vendors and music, and fireworks show. 7-9 p.m.www.miramarfl.gov
