City of Sunrise Earth Day Celebration 2018 (April 7)

Celebrate green living at our fun, family-friendly Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sawgrass Sanctuary Park, located at 237 North New River Circle in Sunrise.  The City’s Earth Day celebration will feature a Tree-Planting Ceremony in commemoration of Arbor Day; a Kids’ Corner with children’s activities, bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts and more; handcrafted goods; fantastic food and beverage vendors including food trucks, non-profit exhibitors and educational displays to help you greenify your daily routine.

In keeping with the event’s conservation theme, the first 1,500 attendees will receive a free reusable water bottle. Refill your bottle throughout the day at the Festival’s complementary water stations.


11:30 a.m. – The Crossthread Band – Rock, country, funk, and rhythm and blues
1:30 p.m. – KooKooz – Rock from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s

No coolers, pets or bicycles will be allowed in the park during the Festival. However, dedicated bicycle parking will be available. For more information, please call the Leisure Services Department: (954) 747-4600.
