Why pack a picnic when you can take your family out this Friday to see huge fireworks displays around town with lots of Food Trucks preparing delicious meals nearby. We have compiled a short list of cities in and around Fort Lauderdale where you can expect to see Food Trucks as early as 5pm serving some of your favorite foods until the Fireworks go off at 9pm.
DAVIE (3801 South Pine Island Road) – Activities will include live music beginning at 3:00p.m. on the ball fields at Pine Island Park. Free family activities including bounce houses, rides, a climbing wall, arts and crafts, youth entertainment, swimming and games around the park all day along with Food Trucks with a variety of food available for sale. There will be live music featuring “33 Years” and “Classic Rock Therapy“. To celebrate our Country’s birthday, FREE cake will be available, while supplies last! The evening will be capped off with a fantastic patriotic fireworks show at 9:00p.m
MARGATE (NW Corner of Margate Blvd. and State Road 7) -Live music, food trucks, bounce houses and a Chicken-Wing Cook-Off highlight festivities this year beginning at 5pm with Fireworks beginning at 9pm. Omeara’s Irish Pub, located across the street, will join in the celebrations with the Shovel-Head band beginning at 8pm. HOLLYWOOD (Seminole Hard Rock Casino) – Lots of family fun and games including a Zip line, a Rock Climbing Wall, a Football Toss, a Variety of Live Entertainment, Stilt Walkers, Mobile Bars for adult beverages, Interactive Games, and Food Trucks including: Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, Che Grill, Daddy’s Grill, HipPops Handcrafted Gelato Bars, Holy Smoked, Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers, Jersey Dog, La Nostra Pizza, Marlie’s Delights, Monster Burgers, Munchcakes, Palate Party, Pescados Unidos and Sugar Yummy Mama. TAMARAC (9901 NW 77 Street) – The annual All American Celebration takes place from 6pm to 9:30pm at the Tamarac Sports Complex. A free outdoor concert by The Valerie Tyson Band promises to perform an energetic array of musical medleys. There will also be an entertainment area with fun rides, arts & crafts, games to keep the children busy, and food trucks will be on site. A choreographed pyrotechnical fireworks display kicks off promptly at 9pm. Attendees are asked to use a shuttle bus from Tamarac City Hall (7525 NW 88th Ave) and Tamarac Community Center (8601 W. Commercial Blvd) due to limited parking on site.
