heroes bowl

The Dellenbach Foundation will host the third annual Heroes Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tamarac Sports Complex (9901 NW 77 th Street, Tamarac, FL 33321). The Heroes Bowl is a day of family fun, headlined by a 12-team flag football tournament. The 12 teams competing are comprised of local first responders, military and veterans. There will be huge inflatable obstacle courses for kids and adults, Broward Sheriff’s Office assets, food trucks, concessions, NFL alumni and more. New for 2018 is an ROTC Challenge, which will pit local high school ROTC students against each other in different events.

All veterans will be recognized for their service. The Dellenbach Foundation was founded in 2016 by former NFL offensive lineman Jeff Dellenbach and his wife, Mary. Jeff played 15 seasons in the NFL, including 10 with the Miami Dolphins. The former center won Super Bowl XXXI as a member of the Green Bay Packers. The Foundation is focused on providing funds, volunteer services, and supplies for severely ill and injured children as well as to Veterans and their families with an emphasis on areas where other assistance is unavailable or
insufficient.

Admission to the event is free. All proceeds benefit the Dellenbach Foundation.
