Marine Industry Association

Marine Industry Day is a family-oriented event aimed at celebrating the region’s marine industry through a variety of fun, interactive experiences. The event features live music, food trucks that serve a variety of foods, children’s activities, numerous marine-related activities, water taxi tours, educational games and much more.

Marine Industry Day is an annual event that is non for profit held at Esplanade Park in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. There will be all kinds of activities for adults and kids alike and many vendors that would be more than happy to talk about their role in the marine industry while giving out a bunch of goodies.

The event is organized and sponsored by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida with the support of Florida Yacht Brokers Association, the U.S. Superyacht Association, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, and Young Professionals in Yachting.

Marine Industry Day also builds awareness of our industry on local, state, and federal levels. The Marine Industry Day celebration is a gathering of Broward County’s diverse marine industry workforce and families who comprise the foundation of Broward’s number one economic driver.

More than 2,500 people attended Marine Industry Day last year, which featured more than 30 interactive and educational exhibits. Businesses that have previously participated include Nova Southeastern University, Frank & Jimmie’s Propeller, AccuDock, Regent Bank, Land N’ Sea, Maritime Professional Training, Beard Marine, Bradford Marine, Carefree Boat Club, Dockside Corporate Services, MHG Insurance, IGY Marinas, RPM Diesel, and FAU Athletics just to name a few.

Food Truck Safari Palm Beach Zoo

Palm Beach Zoo’s next “Food Truck Safari” takes place Saturday June 24th from 4:30-9:00pm with a great selection of the best gourmet food trucks in Palm Beach County.  The entire Zoo will be open to exploration as you feed your inner animal(s) with some tasty meals.  The Tiki Bar will be stocked with favorite beers and wine too. A Devour Brewing tap-takeover with two great selections will be on tap. Live music entertainment will be provided by SoundLot Music and more.

Old Town Untapped

Old Town Untapped is a monthly craft beer and arts festival hosted by the Pompano Beach CRA and features free samples of local beers crafted by breweries in Pompano Beach’s emerging craft beer scene. In addition the streets of Old Town are lined with food trucks, artists, crafters and interactive art. Inside Bailey Contemporary Arts, guests can grab some locally roasted coffee at Blooming Bean Coffee Co. and walk through the galleries rotating art exhibits each month.

The festivities begin at 6pm with streets lined with unique vendors and crafters, food trucks, and of course FREE craft beer samples from Pompano Beach’s local breweries!

Highlights for Friday, June 3rd

  • Live Music: Shaw Davis & The Black Ties These local Pompano guys have a unique brand of psychedelic blues rock you can’t miss!
  • Fire show (contingent on the wind) but there will be a water/ light show every half hour starting at 7!
  • Local Craft Brewers will be Offering Free Samples!( while supplies last)
  • Bailey Contemporary Arts ‘s Artist in Residence will also be doing LIVE art! Cindy Trezona will be demonstrating how to make stained glass sun-catchers for free!
